The 2018 MotoGP world championship was both historic and unforgettable. The 70th season of motorcycle Grand Prix racing delivered edge-of-the-seat action pretty much every weekend and also created plenty of records. The average winner-to-second gap was just 2.1 seconds, an all-time record that makes a dramatic contrast to the average first-to-second gap of two minutes and five seconds gap in the championship’s inaugural 1949 season! No other motorsport series came close to producing the same kind of thrills, thanks to talent and bravery of magical Marc Marquez, Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo, Maverick Vinales, Cal Crutchlow, Andrea Iannone, Alex Rins and the unique and brilliant Valentino Rossi, who still raced for victory in his 22nd season as a Grand Prix rider.
The 2018 Official MotoGP Season Review brings you the story of all 19 rounds inthe usual intense detail, with words from Isle of Man TT winner Mat Oxley and stunning photography from Andrew Northcott.
